Frank Warren started "Post Secret" in 2004. It started as a website where people could mail in their post card secrets and 10 new ones were posted each Sunday. Posting these secrets can be a relief, a weight of your back, or maybe a time to move on.
Post Secret allows people to connect with each other from all over the country. Some entries are humorous, some are alarming, and some sound exactly like what you are going through. I think Post Secret is so popular because it gives people a chance to say exactly how they feel without worrying about repercussions. There will be no conflict or judgment the next day because submissions are completely anonymous. The beauty of Post Secret is absolute truth in the words. Even though there is a possibility that ones posted are made up, it doesn't mean they are false to everyone. There is truth to be found in each of these secrets. I think that these secrets are all art. Art is a form of communication. The secrets communicate the deepest layers of society. They also effect people in profound ways. On the Post Secret website, there are responses and followups sent to Frank Warren describing how they had epiphanies after reading a Post Secret card. Post Secret is a great creation.
Sadly, some have used Post Secret as a cry for help. I can only imagine how he feels when he receives suicidal or depressive postcards, but it must include a feeling of helplessness. In 2008, Warren teamed up with "1-800-suicide" toured college campuses speaking out and answering hot-line calls. He plans to continue touring to talk about post secret.Today there are 4 books filled with pages of secrets. The visitor count for post secret.com is 267,747,116.
Warren wrote, on postsecretcommunity.com, "Sometimes a secret we keep from ourselves only becomes true after we read it on a strangers postcard."
I am a big fan of postsecret.com. I agree with the fact that it gives people an outlet to express their feelings without backlash. Alot of people can relate to the problems on the site. It's really awesome that the creators of the site help the users with their problems.

I also enjoy reading post secret. It is a nice feeling to find annonymous people that are going through the same things you are. But I think Emma brings up a good point in that although, it might help you coupe about your problems, there also might be some other stories you take from them that lay heavily on you.

Lucy, this is a good description of a fascinating website -- but you don't really provide any analysis here.
What ideology does the site celebrate or dispute?
