Here is the Uniform Resource Locator to the Wikipedia page of J.D. Salinger's Catcher in the Rye. As I was wandering aimlessly, I did some extensive research and found this article of Catcher in the Rye online. Interested by the types of analysis and diction of the page, I decided to read it. Wondering if anyone had already read this article, I post it up to see what others think. Do you think this summary and points of analysis are accurate? I understand this is Wikipedia, but honestly look at the word choice, like "angst" and topics such as "identity, connection, and alienation". Would it be a stretch to say that this is one of few articles that can truly characterize an American classic? I think that a web page such as this proves ideal in the analysis and discussion of Salinger's novel. As a class, we were unable to truly agree on what personality best describes Holden, and I think that the personality of the novel as a whole presents the same dilemma.
