Ever since we started learning about Romanticism I have been wondering this same question, "Is a romance novel different than a novel based off of Romanticism?" Does that make any sense? I hope it does because it has been bothering me for a while. To my understanding romanticism is deep reasoning through art, music, and literature. While a romantic play consists of the obvious; love and ending in death. Do these have much to do with each other? I can see similarities through these two, but were they always meant to be so greatly similar to one another?
Pardon me if I sound extremely stupid!!!
Well my last post was comparing these two and Mr. Heidkamp reassured me that they are two very different subjects and can't really be compared. I assumed one evolved from the other which was false. "Romantic" with a big "R" is an arts movement and "romantic" with a little "r" is just an adjective.
