On September 8th, 2011, President Obama gave a speech to the people of America. This speech was important for the two reasons of the "job issue" in America and also looking at it from a broader view, this speech was important for Obama look as the presedential election approaches.
The things mentioned on thursday night by Obama were aimed toward the middle class in my opinion because he kept on talking about how hard working Americans deserve to be rewarded for their hard work when they come home to their families. These are the "good guys" of his speech. The "bad guys" of his speech, or so he makes it seem so, are the higher classes that have more money but pay less taxes. Obama does say a lot of things that he has said already before but he still was able to stress on different points.
One of my favorite points of the speech was when he said that we as Americans will not be paying out of our pockets for his job plan because the goverment already has it covered. This probally won a lot of viewers over when they found out they would not be paying anything for this cause which is still great.
Overall I think Obama delivered his speech well and was able to look good to the people of America and still present the right ideas.
