The blog post that caught my eye was on the blow site of FBomb.com. The article is called "I'll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours". http://thefbomb.org/2012/02/ill-show-you-mine-if-you-show-me-yours/
This post was talking about feminism in the past, present and future. This woman described how today, feminism is in its "third wave". The first was in the late 19th century and early 20th and the second wave was in the 1960s and '70s, which brings us to the present and the third wave. I agree with most of what she said, but one aspect that I disagreed with was how she said that the goal or motive of todays feminism isn't about being equal to men, but "more about fostering a world in which women, men, and transgendered people all have the opportunity to live healthy, happy lives as whole and fully valued human beings." Now to me, that sounds like the goal is to make everyone equal and have an equal shot in life. Besides her trying to show a difference in the goals of the 3 waves of feminism I can completely agree with what she was saying.
The reason she posted this is to give feminists hope that they won't always have to feminists. She described what the future will have to be to end feminism which included women not having to live in fear: no rape, no assault, no harassment, and no vulnerability. Also, if they were valued for their intelligence, humanity, and personality and no for their sexual attributes, would there be no need for feminism. Again, to me this sounds like if men and women were complete equals and there wasn't a patriarchal or matriarchal society, then feminism would cease to exist. So in the future, if these things were to happen, then feminism would be no more, which would be a good thing in the end.
i like this post john, you caught the big picture of the post. i agree with your points and i do agree that if feminism ended in the way they wanted it to end, it would be good for our society

I think you paint a very flowery picture at the end with a world where feminism is not necessary. I being a cynic disagree with you, feminism will need to always exist as opposition to feminism will always exist. If you look at the world on a global scale you will soon see that feminism needs to exist for good reason, you have oppression of women in many cultures some more serious than others. In china for example there has been a practice now referred to as "gendercide" where because they are allowed to have a limited number of children and they have a preference for male children they will in some cases murder their daughters.
