I've never watched a political debate, but like other people who have posted before me I was a fan of President Obama...before last night. I have never followed politics too in depth, because it has never been something I have been a fan of. I decided during Obama's 2008 campaign that if I had to choose someone I would choose Obama. Now leading up to last nights debate I have seen more of Romney and his character and policies that has now made me more accustomed with his views, so I went into the debate as an impartial viewer sitting on the fence.
While viewing each sides arguments I noticed many logical fallacies. One type I noticed nearing the end of the speech's, President Obama seemed to be attacking Romney and not the argument he is advancing more than once. This was a case of Ad Hominem. Obama started to act more childish nearing the end gearing his attacks towards Romney's work ethic or thoughts of his own presidency, for example he claimed, "Romney's budget he wrote out wasn't very detailed as they always seem to be". He was indicating that Governor Romney is very vague about things, but not attacking his views but his character. Obama made many snide remarks towards Romney that were discrete such as when he said, "4 years ago I promised I wouldn't be a perfect president and i'm sure Governor Romney still thinks that". Once again President Obama is attacking his personal opinions which may or may not even be true.http://www.thedailybeast.com/election.html
