I wanted to talk about what I am doing for my group project which is zen. I didn't really understand what it was before I looked it up I thought it was a religion with some yoga mixed in. However, I was greatly wrong. To simplify it, it is a subset of Buddhism and basis is for a person to have self discovery through introspection. This concept I think is really cool and wish we could incorporate in it America life. In America, we are always go go go and Zen seems to take time to absorb everything around them. Do you think that American would and could accept the idea of Zen.
Look up texts on kismet, it's similar, but a lot less people know what it is. Thus, by the rule of emo underground music, it is cooler.

There is absolutely time for Zen in American culture, the question is-where do we find it? I think you are right, Americans are constantly on the move, I don't think many have time for any relaxation or quality down time. Time, as we all know, is not like it used to be. Now women are not staying at home with the kids more, fathers are still working hard as ever if not harder than before. This causes a constant "go,go,go" attitude feel to American culture now. Speaking of which there is 3 days until prom and all of the seniors and mostly juniors will be on the "go, go,go!" Time is so hectic.
