My favorite novel from class this year has been God of Small Things. I like the way the book is written and how it jump between past and present. I also like how the story starts at the ending and slowly tells the reader what happened to make the ending. I don't think I have a favorite book ever. I just like too many books. I like Wuthering Heights a lot.h story lines really complex and I like that I have to actually think when I read it. I guess my favorite book depends on my my what book I'm reading at the time.
I really enjoyed god of small things too. I think the sign of a really great author is how the author uses every single line in their story. Roy's language is beautiful in the sense that every single sentence is basically poetry. I think she also combined a very political and societal message in her book which was an added bonus.

Wuthering Heights was one of those books that I read, knew I was supposed to appreciate, but for one reason or another didn't connnect with me at the time. It's on my list of books to read again, along with "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens which I absolutely despised at the time I read it because I was lost the entire time.
