After seventeen beautiful years of life, I have witnessed a plethora of film. Now the films have ranged from the dung of a blue whale, to the Holy Grail of movie literature. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed film thoroughly in such a way that it has become a part of me. It is thorough, Jeffrey, thorough. If my body was a pizza, the movie slice would be the one everyone would want. Each film makes impact upon my meaningless existence, in such a way I cannot forget.
Now there is one film that has defined my generation. It is the Graduate.
As an angsty teen, the abusive testosterone flows throughout me each day. In a way it almost controls me. It develops my aggression. It develops my need for education. Above all, it drives my sexual desires.
After watching "The Graduate" with an adult mindset, I can now very well see myself as Benjamin Braddock in about 4 years.
Even now, my life seems somewhat superficial. I go to a high school, in which my goals are set by my parents, and the grades my community expects me to achieve. I hate it. I feel as if I am inside an aquarium, surrounded by murky waters, and human eyes, with fingers tapping on the glass expecting me to answer. I am sick.
The one desire that gets me through life, however, is the desire for lust. Now my Father works for an accounting firm, and he is a partner. Another man that works for him has a smoking hot wife. Man....
Now this may come across as slightly erotic, and or grotesquely disturbing, but I would literally give my heart to make it with her. Oh wow. Just thinking of her makes me want to have an affair in a remote hotel, in which I must change my name because I will eventually fall for her daughter.
Older women are so beautiful. I find happiness in their gorgeous wrinkles, and their flabby underarms. I especially love the depends.I am deeply attracted to older women. I hope that doesn't offend you.
If it does, frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.
So yeah. The Graduate is my favorite movie. Well done Anne Ban(g)croft.
Here's to you, Mrs. Robinson.
