Well that's that.
It's weird that high-school is over. When you're in the middle of it, you honestly think it'll never end. You vaguely hear your deans and teachers and counselors talking about college, but it generally just passes through your brain because you don't really think it applies to you. Because you've got three years until then! And then you have two, and then you have one, and suddenly it's the last day of high-school and you're wondering where the time went.
Sometimes I chuckle to myself because before I started high-school my parent's friends were telling me how "the next four years are the best of your life!" Now I understand why that woman who told me that is always so sad. Girlfriend peaked forty years ago. If these four years were the best of my life, that would be the worst. I'm calling that right now. I basically liked high-school. During it I would whine about how much I didn't like it, but it wasn't that bad. I wouldn't do it all over again, but I would look back on my experience fondly.
So, high-school, it's been real. OPRF, thanks for being so close to my house that I could leave my house at 7:56 and still get to class on time. Lunchroom, thanks for being my reminder that there is, in fact, a hell on earth. Third floor hallways, props to you for my development of claustrophobia, and a general disdain for every single person who doesn't wear deodorant.
If there was one thing I'd leave to you, world/people still at OPRF it's this:
When in doubt, dance it out.
I'll be back next year, albeit for like, an hour during Thanksgiving break, but nonetheless, I'll be back.
