A few times since the year began, Mr. Heidkamp has mentioned "feeling a reading in your spine". At first, I was a little bit confused by this idea. I had no clue how you could feel something like that in your spine, and I was certain it had never happened to me. Never the less, after some thought and reflection, I realized I had actually experienced something like this while reading "The Tempest Tales". I can't remember exactly, but I believe it occurred somewhere around forty pages into the book. Tempest was arguing with Joshua about why he should not be damned, and to me, he was saying some incredibly powerful words. The way Tempest looked at life, society, and the struggles of life really struck a nerve in me. While reading his analysis of life and evil/the reasons behind evil, I actually got chills all through my body. I felt like what he was saying really applies to a higher level of living, and for some reason, I just really connected with Tempest. It's sort of hard for me to explain exactly what I felt, but after looking back on this experience, I now definitely have a better understanding of what Mr. Heidkamp was talking about.
